I feel like the photos don’t do this place justice! I was pleasantly surprised by how cozy and spacious the room was. The king bed was very comfortable, there’s a good amount of surfaces and closet space to store your belongings, and I was surprised to discover a door to another room of two twin beds! Had more space than I needed.<br><br>The fireplace is a cool touch. I honestly forgot there was even a partial view of the ocean, so that was a nice touch. The water in the shower heats up quickly which was great for chilly evenings or mornings in late October. It’s super walkable to all the restaurants and shops in the town, and also to the beach for a bit of a longer walk (it’s uphill back into the main area). Everything was super clean and I appreciate that there were things like an ice bucket, plastic cups, plenty of shampoo, conditioner & body wash. Would definitely recommend this spot as it’s cheaper than the fancier trendier spots, but ticks off all the boxes of what you need.<br><br>My only suggestion would be to have a filtered water tap somewhere, in addition to the ice machine. But I didn’t really look in the lobby area so maybe there was something there. Also parking was easy even if you can’t manage to get one of the on-site spots.

We had a great stay at Wayfarer Inn! The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful, which made the experience feel easy from start to finish. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the common areas were thoughtfully designed and inviting. Overall, it was an incredible value for the quality and atmosphere. I would happily stay here again.

Have you heard or used the expression "it gets the job done"? Well this is what I use to describe this hotel. I gave it a 5 star rating because it's great for me and my family. The room is nice but not to nice. They have rooms that accommodate bigger families. Fire place. Dog friendly, and close to many locations within Carmel. It gets the Job done. The staff is friendly.

A wonderful and peaceful place to stay. Clean fresh rooms, very comfortable and warm in winter.Updated and I love the touch lamps.

Absolutely loved staying at the Carmel Wayfarer Inn. Pet friendly and their room was spacious and clean. The concierge was super helpful and friendly! When I come back to Carmel, I’ll most likely stay at this Inn again.

We loved our stay at Wayfarer Inn. The price was incredible and we were so happy to be able to bring our dog!<br>We had the king size room with an “ocean” view. Unfortunately the view was very minimal but the room was nice.<br>Mornings were a tiny bit loud with road traffic but having the windows shut worked just fine!<br>The bathroom was the only thing that we felt could use improvement however it was well stocked and the water was always hot!<br>We really enjoyed meeting the manager and the courtyard was so cute with Italian Villa vibe.<br>We would absolutely stay here again with how walkable the location is. Close to the city center and beach.

We had a fantastic stay. The location is very convenient to walk to all that Carmel offers. Spacious room with a comfortable bed and good water pressure. Excellent service. Will definitely stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Customer service was friendly and even allowed us to check in early. Cute cottage style inn with a nice patio to enjoy your meals. It was also conveniently away from all the crowds, but close enough to walk to all the nearby restaurants and shops. Our room itself was clean and super spacious. It was wonderful waking up to the view of the ocean and sounds of sea gulls.<br><br>Highly recommend on your next stay to Carmel/Monterey!
